Our Message

Practical
Transformative

We teach the Word of God to equip the church for the work of their ministry and assist believers in reaching their full potential in Christ. We are to be an expression of God’s grace to everyone we meet.

Acts 20:32: So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Worship Ministry

Give Glory To God
Holy Spirit Lead Worship Services
Spiritual Integrity and Excellence in Worship

Our primary function as a worship ministry is to give glory to God by leading the church in corporate worship. We strive to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and encourage the church to become fully devoted followers of Christ through passionate, Holy Spirit lead worship services.

Psalm 95:1-6 NIV: Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.

Children & Youth

Nursery

Fun – Safe – Clean

The nursery is a clean, safe place where children from birth to 4 years old participate in age-appropriate activities including hearing Bible stories, making crafts, and engaging in play with peers.

Matthew 19:14: Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

AWANA

Gospel-centered – Equipping – Engaging

We strive to build solid faith foundations for the children in our community so they will know, love, and serve Jesus for a lifetime. Our strategy is to teach them from God’s Word using stories and emphasize Scripture memory while having fun and developing peer relationships.

2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Mom's Group

Gospel-centered – Encouraging – Fun

During Mom’s Group our first hour is spent meeting with just mom’s for prayer, studying Gods word together and building each other up.  The kids spend this time with loving church caregivers having fun in our nursery and toddler room.  This is then followed by gathering together in our Multipurpose room for more play and continued fellowship.

Mom’s Group meets every 1 & 3 Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Sunday School

Gospel-centered – Educational – Fun

When we announce during worship service that the kids may line-up for Sunday school, the mad-dash to the back of church tells you they are all excited to go. Sunday school begins after the worship during 10:15 a.m service. The children go to the downstairs classrooms and participate in the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum while the parents listen to the sermon.

Middle & High School

Christ-centered
Meaningful Relationships
Transformational

The student ministry at LWEFC exists to draw teenagers into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to deepen their understanding of God’s Word as they develop into and as disciples of Him. We don’t want students to simply know about Jesus; we want students to leave highschool following Jesus (Matthew 4:19). For the students that already do know Christ, we exist to help them go further and dive deeper into their faith. Here at LWEFC, we firmly believe that you don’t have to wait until you’re an adult to play an important role in the Kingdom of God!

1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Middle School Group meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. during the school year, High School Group meets on Sunday’s from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. during the school year.

Church Outreach

Community Focused
Meeting Needs
Gospel-focused

The outreach ministry here at LWEFC exists to serve our community and the surrounding area, to meet the tangible needs of people here and now. To be the hands and feet of Christ, serving people as He would, while sharing the Gospel in both word and action. We seek to increase both the presence of our church and the Good News with those we meet “as we go” (Mt. 28:18-20) Our goal is to help draw as many people to Christ as possible and to be known as a place and a people that never stop talking or acting like Jesus.

Colossians 4:3-4: At the same time, pray also for us that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains, 4 so that I may make it known as I should.

If you are interested in helping serve or learning more about our outreach opportunities, please contact Hunter at hunter@lwefc.org or (608) 592-3091.
